Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Production Technician to operate blow molding and extrusion equipment to produce plastic containers for consumer brands in a climate-controlled facility.

You will monitor and adjust equipment, perform basic maintenance, conduct quality checks, and collaborate with the team on safety and continuous improvement. 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, competitive pay starting at $20 per hour plus a night differential, and comprehensive benefits are offered in Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician with high-volume production equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of blow molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Conduct quality checks for specifications such as bottle weights and dimensions.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality and scrap reduction.
• Grow skills through formal and side-by-side training with opportunities for career advancement.
