Job summary

Plastipak is hiring a Production Technician in New Jersey to operate extrusion and blow-m molding lines for plastic containers. You will monitor equipment, adjust settings, and perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience in high-volume production, basic hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills. Night shifts offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician in high-volume production.
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment preferred.
• Basic hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical/mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust settings to produce high-quality plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Conduct quality checks for bottle weights and dimensions to meet Plastipak specs.

As a Production Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. As a Production Technician, You Will

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions

This Is A Great Fit If You Have

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
• Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basic knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve

Pay & Shift

• Nights: 6:30pm-7:00am (3-2-2-3 Schedule)
• $25+/hr.
