Job summary

Manpower in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Production Supervisor to join its operations team. You will oversee packaging lines, coordinate materials, and ensure production meets quality standards while mentoring team members. The role emphasizes GMP awareness, strong communication, and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have prior supervisory experience in manufacturing and the ability to train staff. Shift: 3rd shift, Sun–Thu, 10:30 pm–6:30 am. Pay: $29.63/hr DOE.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/packaging supervisory role.
• Knowledge of lot control products and GMPs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to train employees when needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and motivation for continuous improvement.
• Ability to stand or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Backups for multiple department positions including Supervisor, Quality Inspector and Line Lead.
• Read and understand Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPs.
• Coordinate packaging activities to meet production and quality standards.
• Train employees to perform manual operations and coach staff.
• Communicate performance standards and address performance issues.
• Perform product changeovers and staging materials for new orders.
• Maintain clean, organized production areas in line with GMP.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and PPE is used.
• Manage workforce to achieve goals and improve performance.
• Suggest improvements to methods, equipment, and product quality.
• Conduct accident investigations as required.
• Maintain documentation for packaging materials, pallets, and personnel.
• Control inventory of supplies and track variances and waste.
