Job summary

Ferrous Processing and Trading Company, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a Night Shift Supervisor at our Warren, MI site. The Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of employees and administering policies and procedures that will contribute to the site's operations running efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities are expected.
• Collaborative mindset; ability to build and work with teams; coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and schedules daily tasks to meet production goals.
• Ensures materials, equipment, and tools are available and in working order.
• Plans and allocates materials; coordinates with plant personnel.
• Operates or oversees handling equipment (conveyors, cranes, tractors, trucks).
• Inspects incoming materials and verifies invoices; inspects machines for maintenance needs.
• Maintains time and production records; coordinates activities across departments.
