Independent Stave Company seeks a Night Shift Production Supervisor in Morehead, KY. You will oversee a production line assembling components for oak barrels, create daily schedules, and ensure product specifications and targets are met.

Training on day shift precedes night shift, with opportunities for growth within a cooperative team. The role emphasizes safety compliance, quality oversight, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to guide production teams.
• Clear communication, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.
• Experience with KPI metrics and performance management.
• Experience in staffing, scheduling and shift coverage.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.
• Knowledge of process optimization in manufacturing.
• Experience in production or manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage plant or shift production workers.
• Coordinate production activities and ensure adequate staffing.
• Enforce plant safety rules and provide safety orientation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Oversee employee development and performance reviews.
• Document incidents and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Assist in developing job procedures and training plans.
• Collaborate with Quality Team to address defects.
