Job summary

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or six to twelve months related experience and/or training.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises employees according to company policies and procedures, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensures all departmental operations are performed in accordance with safety, quality, environmental and administrative guidelines/policies.
• Engages daily with employees to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery & Value results are achieved.
• Captures data and information resulting from daily engagements.
• Computes stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules and requisitions materials from storage areas.
• Interfaces with others to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Develops and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops personnel, including other leaders.
