Night Shift Production Supervisor
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting directly to the Flaking Production Supervisor, the Supervisor is responsible for leading the Flaking department production team to meet daily production objectives and ensure smooth operations of the department. The Supervisor provides day-to-day support to the Production Supervisor.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Position-specific vocational education, training, or certification is preferred
Kind & Length of Experience:
- 5+ Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a highly regulated industry (Food, Pharma, etc.)
- Previous frontline leader training
- Working understanding of LEAN methodologies and Continuous Improvement Principles
- Experience guiding a team through transformation and transitions is a plus
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
- Maintain positive communication with employees and other departments to achieve manufacturing objectives
- Train, coach, mentor, and recognize employees to maintain high shift performance
- Show leadership and commitment to RC14001/EHS&S standards
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs
- Conform with EHS&S policies and Cardinal Rules
- Maintain a safe and secure workplace and meet environmental site requirements
- Report accidents and incidents promptly
- Participate in EHS&S and quality training
- Manage direct reports' time and attendance accurately
- Assist with day-to-day production and efforts to increase output without compromising safety or quality
- Support quality system application for problem-solving and corrective actions
- Ensure proper staffing for efficient production line operation
- Analyze downtime and report to improve shift and department output
- Focus on permanent process improvements through effective problem-solving
- Support team training and onboarding
- Conduct annual reviews and develop growth paths for team members
- Identify training needs and support competency development
- Lead project execution within budget, schedule, and scope
- Develop and update project plans, resolve issues, and communicate effectively
