Job summary

Conagra Brands in Darien, WI is seeking a Production Specialist for the D shift to support production operations by ensuring product quality, packaging compliance, and adherence to safety and food handling standards. This on-site role reports to Production Supervisors in a large manufacturing facility with 800+ employees.

You will learn production schedules, form and seal cases, inspect bags for weight and labels, report deviations, and assist with start-up, changeover, and shutdown activities.

Qualifications

• Reliable and consistent attendance with strong attention to duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of production schedules and learn to read and follow schedule instructions.
• Form and assemble cases to meet production requirements and specifications.
• Monitor auto-filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code, and label accuracy.
• Report deviations from product requirements to operators or supervisors.
• Ensure cases enter the case sealer correctly.
• Visually inspect products and ingredients for blemishes, flaws, extraneous material, or discoloration.
• Stop production and report any serious deviation from requirements or equipment malfunction.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Assist operators with start-up, production, changeover, and shutdown activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
