Qualifications

• High school education coursework or GED required. Experience or training in plastic part manufacturing. Understands measuring and inspection equipment used to monitor quality. Ability to understand mechanical concepts used in production.
• Computer Skills: Basic tasks using Windows OS; openness to learning IQMS, ISMECA, and other production software.
• Language Skills: Read, comprehend, and utilize instructions and short correspondence; present information to others.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; read and understand drawings for inspection.
• Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems; follow simple verbal instructions.
• Other Skills: Willingness to attend classes or training to enhance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops a thorough understanding of micro mold, small mold, ISMECA, and manual machinery.
• Performs IQMS lot setup, scans parts to ISMECA, follows work instructions, and monitors inventory and lot control.
• Monitors machines using established parameters; checks parts and inspects to maintain quality.
• Keeps feeder bowls filled; monitors dryer/oven trays to ensure material dryness and sufficient production.
• Troubleshoots problems using accumulated knowledge of machines and processes.
• Measures parts and follows control plans, SOPs and customer requirements.
• Promotes efficient production by preparing materials, labeling, and maintaining raw material integrity.
• Communicates production issues with leads or management as needed.
• Other duties as required.
