Job summary

Accumold is seeking a Product Quality Inspector to join our Ankeny production team. The role focuses on inspecting molded plastic parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards, with attention to documentation and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities include using inspection processes, maintaining organized work areas, data entry, counting and packing parts for shipping, and communicating production issues to leads and management. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school education or GED required.
• Computer Skills: Data entry, operate copy machine and telephone; use microscope or inspection equipment.
• Language Skills: Read, comprehend and use instructions and short correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with accuracy.
• Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Other Skills: Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers and supervisors.
• Physical Demands: Lift up to 25 pounds; good vision and dexterity needed.
• Work Environment: Climate-controlled with moderate noise.

Responsibilities

• Uses inspection process based on control plans and work instructions.
• Maintains an organized work area; separates inspected parts.
• Records inspection results using paper and electronic systems.
