Accumold in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Production Support Specialist - Days to operate micro mold and small mold production lines, following the quality system and work instructions to produce plastic parts correctly and independently.

The role requires understanding ISMECA and IQMS processes, monitoring machines, ensuring material dryness, performing inspections, and coordinating across departments to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school education coursework or GED required.
• Experience or training in plastic part manufacturing.
• Understands measuring and inspection equipment used to monitor quality.
• Ability to understand mechanical concepts used in production.

Responsibilities

• Develops a thorough understanding of the operation of micro mold, small mold, LSR, ISMECA, and manual machinery.
• When working on ISMECA equipment, performs required IQMS lot setup, scanning parts to the machine.
• Monitors assigned machines using established parameters; inspects parts to maintain quality.
• Keeps feeder bowls adequately filled and ensures material dryness via dryers/o trays.
• Troubleshoots problems using knowledge of machines, processes, and department needs.
• Measures parts and follows control plans and SOPs as required by Accumold.
• Prepares packaging such as boxes, proper labeling, and maintains material integrity.
• Communicates production problems with leads/management as needed.
