Job summary

ACR (AmerCareRoyal) in Hammond, LA is hiring a Production Operator for the Ross & Wallace site on the Night Shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm), with occasional Friday work at the manager's discretion.

You will operate machines that fabricate and assemble paper products, perform quality checks, adjust equipment, feed and thread materials, and monitor for jams while meeting safety and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Reliability in attendance and productivity is essential.
• Good communication skills to report issues quickly.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina are required.
• Mechanical skills are a plus, training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols throughout the plant.
• Perform quality checks to ensure product meets specs.
• Observe machine operation to detect and correct malfunctions (gluing, forming, tension).
• Install attachments to machines for gluing, folding, printing, or cutting.
• Cut products to specified dimensions using hand or power cutters.
• Place rolls of paper on machine feed tracks and thread through gluing/coating/slitting rollers.
• Monitor finished product as it drops from forming machines into hoppers and chutes to prevent jams.
• Adjust guide assemblies, forming bars, and folding mechanisms per specs using hand tools.
