Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Plant 1, Production Operator I for the Nights shift (6p-6a) in Springfield, MO. You will participate in assembling and inspecting components and operate start-up and production equipment to meet daily targets.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, following ISO and safety procedures, counting and recording production, and maintaining a clean work area. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages.
• Reading, writing and understanding instructions clearly.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and operate production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as needed.
• Follow department instructions, procedures and safety rules.
• Visually inspect material for defects and control scrap.
• Count and record production data as required.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Work as part of a production team to meet targets.
