Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Plant 1 Production Operator I on 2nd shift in Springfield, MO to carry out assembly tasks and operate production equipment. The role supports meeting daily production targets while adhering to ISO, environmental, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include equipment start-up, inspection for defects, scrap control, and teamwork with maintenance to minimize downtime. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic math and ability to read, write and understand instructions.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and operate equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as needed.
• Follow department instructions and procedures.
• Visually inspect material for defects.
• Control scrap.
• Work as part of a production team to meet targets and liaise with maintenance to minimize downtime.
