Job summary

Avient Corporation is hiring a Production Operator for the 3rd shift in Phoenix, responsible for setting up and operating equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals. You will monitor production, document data, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance while supporting quality and cost efficiency.

The role involves machine maintenance, data recording, and teamwork in a global company that values safety, quality, and community impact.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training/experience.
• Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; handle unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, starts and runs all machinery.
• Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and loads into machinery or ensures correct ingredients are delivered.
• Monitors production and equipment for safe, efficient operation; troubleshoots issues.
• Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials.
• May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and batch adjustments if needed.
• Performs all required machine cleaning and documents work via logs and reports.
