Job summary

JATM in Morristown, TN seeks a Manager – Production (Night Shift) to plan and direct all activities of the Manufacturing Department. This salaried exempt role reports to the Plant Manager and leads a team to meet production targets.

The position emphasizes continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance. Experience in lean manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to work overtime and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Business, or Engineering.
• Minimum five years related manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire Manufacturing Department.
• Drive continuous improvement focusing on people, methods, machines, and materials.
• Ensure 5-S, quality adherence, and uniformity across production lines.
• Develop and monitor annual manufacturing KPIs, labor, and overhead targets.
• Analyze line and shift data to identify trends and improve underperforming areas.
• Present data-driven countermeasures and track long- and short-term effectiveness.
• Achieve targeted Bekido, Chokko, PPH, and PPLH goals.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to meet safety and EMS goals.
• Identify training needs and foster staff development.
• Ensure safe working conditions and enforce company policies.
• Communicate effectively with leaders and team members; handle problem resolution.
