Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for the night shift to oversee operations across the site and ensure smooth, efficient production on the floor. You will supervise and coach Technicians, ensure adherence to customer specifications, and foster a strong safety culture.

The role emphasizes coordinating training, reporting to the production manager, and driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, and reliability on the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory experience with strong people leadership abilities.
• 3 years of manufacturing production or maintenance experience.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Experience using an ERP system; SAP preferred.
• Ability to utilize Excel to record information and compile reports.
• Mechanical aptitude; able to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure efficient bottle and container production.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
• Coordinate work assignments and training for Technicians.
• Report on performance to the production manager.
• Focus on overall shift performance (safety, quality, reliability, scrap).
• Resolve machinery and quality issues with Maintenance as needed.
