Job summary

CertainTeed is seeking a Production Supervisor I to lead hourly manufacturing teams on a 12-hour Pitman schedule and a 6:30 PM–7:00 AM night shift. This role drives safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement in a 24/7 facility, reporting to plant leadership.

You will coach employees, manage training and performance, participate in recruiting and onboarding, and lead Lean initiatives while ensuring EH&S compliance and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience coaching teams and driving performance results.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hourly production employees on safe, efficient operation.
• Foster safety culture through shift meetings and EHS compliance.
• Set expectations, coach, develop, and engage the workforce.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and development.
• Ensure training and adherence to operating procedures.
• Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, 5S, TPM.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping in production areas.
• Review time records and payroll in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance.
