Job summary

The Hershey Company is hiring for a Night Shift Production role in Plymouth, IN. The incumbent will report to the Production Supervisor and maintain production operations, aiming to meet schedules, control costs, and improve inventory.

You will coordinate production activities, uphold standards, and support continuous improvement across the department. Responsibilities include implementing SOPs, communicating with the supervisor on standards and data, promoting teamwork, and ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
• Food manufacturing experience a plus.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, develops, and implements methods, SOPs, and reports to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Communicates with supervisor to establish production and quality control standards, obtains data regarding quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
• Promotes a team atmosphere, takes pride in workmanship, must be self-motivated, and provides timely and accurate work.
• Communicates with associates on shift on an ongoing basis about the status of the shift.
• Follow all SOPs for production, shipping and receiving and sanitation.
• Monitor and assist Lead Supervisor with the following administrative activities.
• Pre-shift inspections
• Shift reporting
• Attendance tracking
• Trains to fill in for some or all of other key positions on the shift. e.g. PMO, PC, Baker.
• Fills in for supervisors on same or other shifts when they are absent. In that capacity, temporarily assumes all responsibilities of supervisor except disciplinary.
• Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
