Job summary

AbbVie in Tempe, AZ, seeks a maintenance technician to support repair, maintenance and improvement of process, facility and utility systems to maximize efficiency and prevent production interruptions.

The role includes troubleshooting, evaluating issues, gathering system information, assisting engineers in design, start-up of new facilities, and implementing process improvements. Night shift options available (2nd/4th shifts) on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years of technical experience preferred.
• Technical training or associate degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of basic regulatory requirements and safety practices.
• Strong communication, concise issue reporting to stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to assess issues, gather data and identify causes.
• Basic computer literacy with spreadsheets and email.

Responsibilities

• Works under general direction on repair, maintenance and improvements.
• Provide technical service for systems: repair, troubleshooting, monitoring.
• Identify issues and help implement solutions and communicate results.
• Assist operations in troubleshooting to determine production impacts.
• Gather system information/specifications for production/engineering teams.
• Assist engineers in design/start-up of new facilities/equipment and optimize performance.
