Job summary

The CDA Press, operated by Hagadone Corp., is seeking a detail-oriented Pressman Apprentice for our night shift. This hands-on apprenticeship provides mentored training to operate and maintain printing presses with increasing responsibilities.

Starting wage is $19/hour with scheduled increases during the four-year training period, and opportunities for career growth within the pressroom.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning printing trade and developing technical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, crouching, squatting, lifting heavy materials, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate printing presses under supervision.
• Monitor press operations for quality and consistency.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting as instructed.
• Adjust ink, rollers, and paper feed for optimal print quality.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout production.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain clean workspace.
• Collaborate with team to meet production deadlines.
