Lakeside Book Company in Hagerstown, MD seeks a Pressroom Operator 2 to support production on night shifts. You will set up runs, load paper, hang plates, verify ink and paper match, and run quality checks.

The role requires reading specifications, color matching, operating safely, and maintaining equipment; 12-hour nights, lifting up to 60 lbs, and teamwork in a fast-paced pressroom. High school diploma preferred; 2 years’ press experience encouraged.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years pressman experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reading and interpreting specifications and ruler measurements.

Mansioni

• Setup and maintain a job run including loading paper and hanging plates.
• Review job ticket, verify ink and paper match the job, and set up fountains, feeders and plates.
• Check color specifications and conduct color matching.
• Run the job with standard quality control measures and document results.
• Identify and resolve printing defects such as picking, piling, and register issues.
• Operate measuring devices as needed.
• Adhere to SOPs and assist others as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and report time and production results.
