Job summary

Veritiv Corp. seeks a Press Feeder Operator to run the press according to job tickets, load raw stock, and coordinate with the press crew to meet customer specifications and deadlines. You will monitor the run, adjust for jams, and assist with routine maintenance in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Chicago.

Requirements include 2+ years in a similar role, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and availability for nights and weekends as needed. High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Press Feeder Operator.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate the press based upon instructions provided.
• Work with press crew to ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Report the status of projects and any issues of machinery to the head press operator.
• Read and understand job tickets and verify that stock matches job specs on ticket before loading press.
• Transfer paper to and from machinery using industrial trucks or hand trucks.
• Monitor paper as it runs through the press and make adjustments to the operations to prevent paper jams.
• Assists in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as required.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
