Job summary

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a qualified candidate to become a Press Assistant at the VR2 facility in Villa Rica, Georgia. The role features a 12-hour night shift from 8:00pm to 8:00am on a 3/2 schedule with hourly pay of $18.14–$27.20 plus a $2.50 night shift premium.

Responsibilities include preparing raw material rolls for printing, loading and splicing, handling inks, and assisting the operator to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw material rolls for printing
• Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing
• Assist in removing rolls from rewind
• Remove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of job
• Fill and maintain viscosity of all inks
• Change Doctor Blades and over fill pans
• Remove and weigh waste from unwind and rewind of machine
• Empty refuse containers
• Make waste bales when baler is full
• Assist operator in any way for efficient operation and monitoring quality of product
• Prepare Pre-Set up of sleeves, mandrels, anilox, and inks
• Daily housekeeping
