Job summary

RRD is seeking a Printing Press Assistant for the 3rd shift in a Wisconsin facility. You will prepare presses, verify job specs, and set up equipment for runs from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a $2 shift differential.

Candidates should have printing experience, basic hand tool skills, and be able to work in a team while upholding safety standards. The role offers extensive benefits and potential for growth within the production team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience with hand tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspect fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related reel mechanisms.
• Maintain proper inventory of paper and record usage/spoilage in SPC reports.
• Ensure rolls are unwrapped, mounted and spliced correctly.
• Monitor paper flow and install new rolls as needed.
• Collaborate with press operators and other Press Assistants on preventative maintenance.
• Assist maintenance in troubleshooting and repairs to presses.
• May assist with make-readies.
• May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to ensure correct color.
• Adhere to safety policies, including hazardous waste handling and lockout/tagout.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
• Follow ISO Quality Manual processes.
