Job summary

ProAmpac in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Assistant Press Operator to support high-speed printing operations on a packaging production line. You will assist, prep materials, monitor inks, and help keep equipment running smoothly in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Desire to learn and grow within manufacturing.
• Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions.
• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Press Operator with preparing the press and materials.
• Monitor and adjust inks, including checking viscosity hourly.
• Remove finished film from the machine and palletize for pickup.
• Return inks to the ink room and clean machine components between jobs.
• Handle hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear PPE, and meet OSHA standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Complete rework tasks as needed.
