Job summary

ProAmpac Kansas City is seeking a production technician to safely operate and monitor bag machinery on a 12-hour day shift. You will load materials, calibrate equipment, and help meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or related field assisting or operating a machine for a minimum of 4 years.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Maintains confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Time management and organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, staff, and clients.
• Proactive with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, polished professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors bag machinery to meet production goals.
• Completes bag machine setup for production runs, including loading materials and calibrating equipment.
• Monitors production, inspects and tests materials to ensure quality and quotas.
• Verifies and tracks materials for inventory and work in progress.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance.
• Trains and mentors machine assistants and new crew members.
• Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized and clean.
• Coordinates production activities with other departments and teams.
