Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking an assembler to fit parts into completed units at a bench, with a solid knowledge of the operation of all machines, equipment, measurement devices, and tooling in the area.

The role requires reading assembly drawings, constructing components to tight tolerances, and possibly working with nonstandard materials. Light maintenance and clean, organized work area are expected, along with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Vision 20/40 correctable; lift 25 lbs; able to stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Under minimum supervision, performs varied tasks with high knowledge of fabrication techniques and equipment.
• Constructs components to extremely tight tolerances and may work with nonstandard materials.
• Reads assembly drawings to manufacture parts accordingly.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and performs light maintenance on equipment.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by management.
