Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Medical background preferred with terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to learn duties in Pre-Analytical Assistant I and how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing interact.
• Identifies problems with specimen types and missing information to support timely resolution.
• Understands test ordering compliance policies and translates information across systems and tables.
• Meets quality and production standards within 6 months of training.
• Documents work clearly and timely.
• Reports to work on time and supports the department during coworker absences.
• Learns additional Tech Ops duties to progress to the next level.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
