Job summary

Bayer’s Berkeley site seeks a QC Potency Analyst I to ensure potency, quality, and reliability of biologics through routine testing and data management. You will participate in GMP controls, instrument calibration, and sample handling on a graveyard shift with cross‑functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes documentation, adherence to procedures, and timely reporting of issues, with growth into QC potency methods and systems within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Up to two years of lab experience in academic, biotech, pharma, or cGMP environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, medical laboratory science, pharmaceutical science, or related field.
• Ability to follow written procedures and accurately document activities in controlled records.
• Familiarity with LIMS, SAP, and electronic laboratory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Clear verbal and written communication; able to work in a graveyard shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine potency and related analytical testing according to approved methods and cGMP requirements.
• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, controls, and equipment for testing; maintain readiness.
• Operate laboratory instruments and automated systems after training; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Document activities and results in LIMS or SAP; report deviations and abnormalities.
• Support laboratory discrepancy investigations and data collection within timelines.
• Follow safety requirements and uphold data integrity in all daily work.
• Manage multiple assignments and shift handoffs; adapt to changing priorities.
• Provide clear shift handoffs and coordinate with graveyard and day shifts.
