Job summary

The Bayer site in Berkeley is seeking a QC Potency Analyst I to ensure potency, quality, and reliability of biologic products through analytical testing in a GMP laboratory. The role involves in-process control, release testing, stability work, equipment maintenance, data entry in LIMS/SAP, and root-cause analysis to support inspection-ready operations on a graveyard shift.

You will collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, Sample Management, Stability and technical support to ensure timely testing

Qualifications

• Entry-level mindset with up to two years of lab experience in regulated settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related science.
• Foundational knowledge of core lab practices and documentation.
• Familiar with LIMS and SAP in GMP/data-integrity environments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Clear verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to cover graveyard shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine potency and related testing per approved methods.
• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and equipment; maintain readiness.
• Operate laboratory instruments and automated systems after training.
• Document results in controlled records and review data for deviations.
• Support discrepancy investigations and data collection within timelines.
• Follow safety requirements and uphold data integrity.
• Provide shift handoffs and communicate status to teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and inspection readiness.
