Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a night shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse. The RN supports a specific patient population and coordinates care with a team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NJ RN license or multistate license, NRP and BLS (within 14 days). 1–2 years of Mother/Baby/Med-Surg experience and a completed AWHONN fetal monitoring course are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer before patient care.
• RN license with New Jersey Board of Nursing or NCL multistate license.
• 1–2 years Mother/Baby and/or Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
