Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a night shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse. The role includes directing and coordinating care for a postpartum patient population and supervising other caregivers under the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications include an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NRP and BLS within 14 days of hire, NJ RN license, 1–2 years Mother/Baby or Med-Surg experience, and completion of the AWHONN fetal monitoring

Qualifications

• NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program required.
• NRP certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Registered Nurse license in New Jersey or with an RN Multistate License.
• 1–2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
