Job summary

Banner Payson Medical Center is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform diagnostic sleep monitoring studies, including home sleep tests, and to analyze complex sleep records. You will serve as a clinical resource, support department operations, mentor new staff, and help shape policies that improve outcomes.

The role operates on a night shift in Payson, AZ. The position requires a high school diploma, registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists or NBRC as RRT, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registry by Board of Polysomnographic Technologists or NBRC as RRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3 years of experience in sleep disorders testing.
• Proficiency with sleep testing equipment and EEG concepts.

Responsibilities

• Obtains artifact-free sleep tracings reflecting physiologic sleep processes.
• Analyzes sleep records and documents sleep stages per policy.
• Troubleshoots testing equipment and makes adjustments as needed.
• Reviews medical history to perform appropriate sleep study prescriptions.
• Contributes to department policy, quality, and training initiatives.
• Mentors new technical staff and may lead in-services.
