Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of A-STEP through AASM.
• Licensure and certifications: BLS and a national sleep credential (RST/RPSGT/SDS/CPSGT) required.
• Experience: sleep lab experience preferred; patient education and scoring familiarity advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment to ensure accurate recordings and safety.
• Complete patient intake, education, consent verification, and accurate documentation.
• Apply sensors and hook up patients per AASM standards and facility protocols.
• Monitor patients during testing and respond to events to preserve comfort and data quality.
• Review, score, and annotate studies with complete records for interpretation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of staff and process improvement.
