Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a skilled trades worker for the night shift to support the Plumbing Shop. This role focuses on operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems, including DI water systems, under supervision and with opportunities to learn for future vacancies.

You will work Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, with potential after-hours duties; annual salary $37,500 or commensurate with experience, with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires apprenticeship or formal training in plumbing.
• Able to operate, install, maintain, troubleshoot plumbing systems.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with replacement of building DI water systems.
• Respond to plumbing repairs during shift.
• Work with after-hours duties to minimize disruption.
• Follow work order processes and document details.
• Interact professionally with customers on jobs when coordinating work.
