Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Machine Operator for a night shift in Altavista, VA. The role involves operating multiple plastic blow molding machines, ensuring safe, efficient production of containers and maintaining quality standards.

The Operator will perform routine machine adjustments, participate in quality improvements, and support on-line lines and maintenance while adhering to safety and GMP policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing.
• Regular, punctual attendance required.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate a number of blow molding machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety, quality, GMP policies and company procedures.
• Assist with mold, insert and color changes on the line.
• Perform basic processing adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and document production records.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and communicate with leads and supervisors.
• Assist in training new Operators.
