Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Machine Operator I for its Mason, Ohio location to operate a set of plastic blow molding machines during the night shift (6:48pm–7:00am) on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality output, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include adjusting equipment, changing molds, and performing basic processing to boost efficiency while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and complete assignments.
Clear, effective communication and collaboration with teammates.

Responsibilities

Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment safely and with high quality.
Perform mold, insert and color changes on the line.
Conduct basic processing to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap.
Assist in training new Operators and provide support as needed.
Monitor resin, dryer, material handling and color systems for proper processing conditions.
Complete required documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
Coordinate with the Production Shift Supervisor to align line objectives.
