Job summary

American Wood Fibers, Inc. seeks a Third Shift Supervisor for its Marion, VA facility to lead plant operations and ensure customer demands are met.

You will oversee staffing, supervise packaging and warehouse activities, and enforce SOP compliance while maintaining safety and productivity. The role requires at least 3 years in manufacturing or related roles, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, general labor, or packaging goods.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Physical capability to bend, squat, or stoop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the plant is meeting the needs and demands of the customers.
• Ensure that the staffing is adequate and working on the proper task.
• Ensure that the SOPs are followed and products are produced, packaged, and shipped as needed.
• Direct the workforce in the plant (system operation), packaging, and warehouse.
• Confer with other supervisors and communicate with peers, subordinates, and management in a professional manner to assure assignments are being properly completed.
