Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager (Night Shift) to lead a large Central Valley facility in California. This role emphasizes night shift oversight of production, packaging, sanitation, warehousing, and maintenance, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will develop supervisors, drive performance, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain leadership to achieve goals and regulatory compliance in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within food manufacturing.
• Experience with full shift management, business unit leadership, or plant-level operational responsibility.
• Proven success leading large production teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all night shift manufacturing operations.
• Drive performance across production, packaging, sanitation, warehousing, maintenance, and quality functions.
• Ensure production goals, safety standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
• Lead and develop supervisors and frontline leadership teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to optimize plant performance.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Support workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and talent retention efforts.
• Serve as the senior operational leader on nights and provide effective decision-making during off-shift hours.
