Job summary

Martin Marietta in Columbia, MO is seeking a Plant Maintenance Night Shift at our Columbia West Quarry to keep heavy equipment running and production on schedule.

This night shift from 10pm to 6am focuses on troubleshooting, repairing machinery, and performing preventive maintenance while following safety standards. Pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with a robust benefits package and opportunities for career growth within a leading materials company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required or preferred.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid US driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Guardian Angel culture
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed

Skills

Ability to work with minimal supservis

MSHA regulations knowledge

Written and verbal communication

Knowledge of machines & tools

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
