Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain brand, is seeking a Plant Electrician to perform daily preventive maintenance and repair of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and electronic equipment in our U.S. manufacturing plant.

You will troubleshoot breakdowns, assist with mechanical repairs, and restore equipment to safe operating condition on the Loadout, Crushing, and Coloring departments as needed. The role offers a shift of 10:00pm–6:00am with training on days 6:00am–2:00pm.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Industrial Electrical Technology or Industrial Electrician required; equivalent training/experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AC electrical systems and three-phase circuits.
• Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation, including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation loop diagrams.
• Communication skills must be at a high level to clearly communicate process issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore machines to safe operation.
• Calibrate instruments and replace or repair faulty components.
• Assist with mechanical repairs as required.
• Conduct inspections to maintain equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and support continuous improvement efforts.
