Job summary

Bunge in Destrehan, LA is seeking a Plant Electrician to maintain electrical systems across the soybean processing facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical components, read blueprints, and uphold safety and food safety policies.

This is a night shift on a 2/2/3 schedule with overtime and on-call requirements. Preferred candidates have 3 years of industrial electrical experience or an associate degree/technical certification, plus PLC and HVAC exposure.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a safety conscious and highly quality controlled environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships with other personnel.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plant-wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (480VAC or less).
• Run conduit, size and pull wires, lay out electrical work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications.
• Troubleshoot VFD and AC/DC systems and electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Maintain electrical switchgear and install conduit as required.
