Job summary

Qualifications

• Have working knowledge of welding standards such as MIL-STD-1689.
• Weld all materials; TIG and stick; weld pipe and plate including joints.
• Experience with metals like carbon steel, stainless, cromoly is helpful.
• Pass 6-G carbon steel pipe weld test and gain access to Navy installations.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe and plate, including sockets, butts, and backing rings.
• Set up and operate welding machines and troubleshoot TIG lines.
• Observe joint designs per MIL-STD-22D and maintain quality welds.
• Collaborate with shipyard teams during night shift 3pm–11pm.
