Job summary

Bon Secours’ Pediatric ICU (PICU) at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality pediatric care on the night shift.

The role involves assessing patients, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and delivering both inpatient and outpatient pediatric nursing services. The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS (and PALS preferred), and at least 1 year of professional RN experience in pediatric, NICU, or critical care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS or PALS preferred at hire; PALS within 6 months (depending on dept requirements).
• 1 year of professional RN experience; pediatrics/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and develop care plans with the care team.
• Provide pediatric nursing care in inpatient/outpatient settings as applicable.
• Administer medications according to policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and revise plans to improve outcomes.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
