Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Utilities/Picking Room Operator to support the RKP department. You will operate and adjust picking room equipment to maintain feather removal quality and minimize bird damage, while upholding safety standards.

You will monitor process temperatures, log checks using basic computer tools, and coordinate with supervisors and maintenance to resolve equipment issues in a fast-paced food processing setting.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and adherence to PPE requirements.
• Basic computer skills for logging checks and writing reports.
• Team player with clear communication across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and continuously validate picking equipment (finger plates, picker height, separation, pitch) for proper operation.
• Monitor picking banks, rail water flow, and temperature levels to maintain efficiency.
• Set and verify scalder temperatures within optimal ranges; adjust as needed.
