Job summary

UCSF Health's Bothin Burn Center in San Francisco seeks a Physician Assistant for the night shift to care for adults and children with complex burn injuries within a 16-bed ICU burn unit, collaborating with a wide interprofessional team.

You will perform admission assessments, coordinate care from acute treatment through rehabilitation, and develop individualized treatment plans with the burn care team, while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Acute or Critical Care experience as a PA.
• Excellence in clinical practice, communication, case management, leadership and teaching.
• Ability to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with complex burn injuries.
• Perform admission assessments and ongoing clinical management with coordination to the Emergency Department.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the interprofessional burn care team.
• Coordinate care throughout recovery from acute treatment through rehabilitation.
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the care experience.
