Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent may be required depending on state regulatory requirements.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Candidate must possess a valid state driver's license and be eligible for auto insurance.
• Flexibility to travel to multiple locations including mobile facilities, with shift work, weekends and overtime.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receipt biological specimens into the department and ensure proper labeling.
• Enter patient demographics, location, tests and collection data into the system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to the appropriate area.
• Maintain specimen integrity, accuracy and quality in all age groups.
• Support billing and cost-control initiatives while adhering to regulations.
• Uphold HIPAA privacy and deliver courteous customer service.
