Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for the third shift at our Louisville campus. You will perform blood collection and processing, ensure accurate documentation, and support infection control policies.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff while maintaining confidentiality and patient care standards. Experience with Cerner is preferred and CPR is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program (preferred).
• Phlebotomy externship or 1 year experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately within established turn-around times.
• Transports specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
• Answers calls and provides information in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintains documentation for medical necessity and patient confidentiality.
