Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ seeks an Overnight Pharmacist for the night shift (Thurs–Sat). The role involves reviewing inpatient orders, dispensing medications, and ensuring safe, accurate drug therapies.

The pharmacist will prepare IV admixtures, manage inventories, and provide drug information to the care team. Hospital experience and NJ licensure are preferred; a strong focus on patient safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets inpatient orders to ensure safety and appropriateness.
• Fills medication orders for inpatients and outpatients; ensures timely delivery.
• Prepares IV admixtures, TPN, chemotherapy with aseptic technique.
• Maintains controlled substance inventories and dispensing procedures.
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, patients and families.
• Acts as a preceptor to pharmacy interns and instructors to extern students.
